HuNia: Pathways to Reclaiming My Wholeness
Meet HuNia Bradley - S4JR Member
“I am a member of Survivors 4 Justice Reform, the executive Director of the S.xual Assault Advocacy Network, a mother, a healer, and a community advocate”
I’m a survivor and i stand for restorative and transformative justice because:
“...the systems that were supposed to protect me never felt safe or trust worthy. As a young girl, I was criminalized instead of protected. I am a survivor and I stand for restorative and transformative justice because the people who harmed me were never held accountable, while I carried the weight of shame and blame. I do not believe prisons heal trauma or restore what has been broken. I believe healing requires truth telling, accountability, community and the courage to repair harm. My journey has taught me that forgiveness, healing, and restoration are pathways to reclaiming my wholeness.”
