Gerald: Restorative Justice and the Criminal Justice System

Meet Gerald Partridge

I am a former: a) career (elected) prosecutor, b) an adjunct instructor for the National College of DAs, and c) served 15 years as a prison volunteer. In 1999 I founded Police Legal Sciences, Inc., an online company that provides monthly continuing ed training for public safety professionals across the U.S. I was introduced to RJ (aka victim-offender reconciliation) by the Mennonite community in my jurisdiction.

I’m a S4JR Member and I This is Why I Stand for Restorative and Transformative Justice:

I have prosecuted numerous cases, from misdemeanor property crimes to first-degree murders, worked closely, sometimes over years, with victims, their families and loved ones, and witnessed the negative transformative power of incarceration and the positive transformative power of RJ. During my final 12 years in office I deferred numerous, pending juvenile and adult criminal cases so they could be resolved using RJ; for 6 years I served as an RJ facilitator; and for the past 2 years I have taught a 1/2 day webinar ("One Giant Leap for Criiminal Justice Reform.") on how RJ can be incorporated into the criminal justice system of a community.

About Survivors 4 Justice Reform:
